The Elementary Track is SOLD OUT.  Please email us if you'd like to add your child's name to the wait list.  Spots open due to cancellations will be released beginning Monday, February 25th.

Secondary Track still has spots available!!!  To register your child, call our office at 713-251-1901 or email us so we can add your registration manually!

Summer Camp Vendor Fair

Meet local vendors offering camps and enrichment for all ages.  Collect literature and begin planning 2019 summer fun for your students!

This event is FREE and open to ALL Spring Branch ISD families. Fair will run from 9am until 12:30pm.

Registration is NOT required.

Creativity In Action (CIA) Camp - July 15-18, 2019

Parent Education Sessions

All sessions are FREE and registration is not required. Sessions will run concurrent with the Genius Rotation Schedule and will be offered 4 times throughout the morning unless otherwise indicated below.

Pamela Johnson - SBISD Director, Advanced Academics

Pamela Johnson is a GT educator and advocate with over 25 years of experience. She currently leads the district's Advanced Academics team, which works to identify gifted and high-performing students and develop learning experiences to meet their unique needs.

Mrs. Johnson will present "Recipe for Getting Your Child Into College: The Dream Dinner at the Perfect Diner." 

This session is most appropriate for parents of secondary students. Mrs. Johnson will offer advice on perfect preparation, college readiness, admission tips and much more.

Lori Hinze - Founder and Executive Director, CookLearnGrow

Come meet CookLearnGrow’s Founder and Executive Director, Lori Hinze, professional educator, a 2007 recipient of Wal-Mart’s Teacher of the Year and graduate of The International Culinary Center, New York City, Lori brings a professional background of unique expertise and experience in education and the culinary arts and is THE leader in children’s food literacy education.

Lori will present on why kids' cooking and food education sets children up for success.

Alana Morris - SBISD Director of Personalized Professional Learning

Alana Morris is an experienced educator currently leading the district's Personalized Professional Learning team. PPL staff work across all divisions and with leaders throughout the system to design high-quality, high-impact personalized professional learning experiences.

Mrs. Morris will present "Home Grown Literacy: The Importance of Balancing Writing with Reading."  

Parents will learn important tips and strategies for engaging students in both reading and writing at home. Participants will leave the session with materials and ideas that can be used immediately!

 

Yared Marquez - SBISD Teacher On Special Assignment, Bilingual Department

Yared Marquez es una educadora del programa bilingüe e inglés como segundo idioma. Actualmente trabaja en el departamento multilingüe de Spring Branch apoyando a las escuelas en la planificación y/o capacitación para la adquisición de un segundo idioma.

La Srta. Márquez presentará la sesión "Estrategias, Tecnología y Más".

Esta sesión será impartida totalmente en español. La Srta. Márquez recomendará estrategias para la lectura que se pueden usar en cualquier nivel y recursos tecnológicos para la práctica del inglés/español. Además, también llevará a cabo una breve sesión de preguntas y respuestas.

 

Yared Marquez is a Bilingual/ESL educator and English Learner advocate. She currently works in supporting SBISD campuses through planning and/or training for second language acquisition.

Ms. Marquez will present "Strategies, Technology and More."
